My approach as a financial advisor is rooted in the years I spent as a high school math teacher. I taught for twenty years, and those years shaped how I guide people through financial questions that can feel heavy, confusing or stressful. I learned how to listen with patience. I learned how to explain ideas in a clear and steady way, especially when the unknown lies ahead. I learned how much confidence grows when someone feels supported. I bring those lessons into every conversation about financial planning.
Outside of work, my supportive husband and three active kids help build a home full of movement and laughter. We all pitch in to balance schedules, emotions, and anything else thrown our way. I also help care for my aging mother, putting me and many of the people I work with in the “sandwich generation”. There’s an extra weight that comes with caring for our children and our parents at the same time, and I believe having that experience at home makes me a more understanding advisor.

Generosity is woven into every part of my life, including at home, in my work, and in my community. I believe we are called to use what we’ve been given to support each other and make a meaningful impact where we live. I stay involved in my children’s schools and serve on the board of Girls on the Range, a nonprofit I helped create to support girls’ athletics at our local high school. Through my church, I teach Financial Peace University, walking alongside individuals and families as they build clarity and confidence in their financial lives. Some of the most meaningful experiences have been volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and participating in more than 15 Thrivent Action Teams as a family. My husband and I always strive to live out our values, model service for our children, and invest in the communities we call home.

Working together is meant to feel calm, clear, and supportive from the very beginning. We start with a conversation about your story, including your life, your goals, and the people who matter most, so I can understand what you hope for. Then we review your financial picture with a focus on clarity rather than judgment, and we build a practical plan that fits your life and evolves with it. As things change, we stay connected and adjust as needed, so your decisions continue to support your goals. My role is to be a steady partner, someone you can rely on, ask questions of, and trust to walk with you through every season.
While I’m open to working with anyone who wants this type of partnership, I find that I especially love serving people who are nearing retirement. I help them sort through questions about income, savings, lifestyle, healthcare, and Social Security so they can move forward feeling prepared and supported. I also care deeply about supporting women who are in a time of transition, either through divorce, job loss, death of a partner or parent, or a newly found sense of financial independence. They often want to ensure they and their family are protected, that the future looks bright, and that they have a guide to help them through it.
You deserve clarity and confidence as you plan ahead. If you’re ready for guidance that feels personal, warm and grounded in real experience, I would be honored to walk with you.
