A Collaborative Financial Advising Experience
Financial education is something that most of us never got in school or at home, and certainly not in the church. But financial mismanagement is one of the most important skills that we could ever learn. It starts with understanding and managing the desires of our hearts according to God's word. Then it branches out from purpose to execution.
These are a few words, with deep meaning to them, and I intend to help you understand how they apply to you. Working with me goes something like this:
- You come into the office or zoom, or I come to your home or workplace and we get to know each other, and spend a significant amount of time discussing your goals, or lack thereof, to determine how I can help you.
- We schedule a second meeting to discuss the details of your financial situation from a factual and emotional perspective.
- The third meeting is for us to discuss what you'd like to focus on for the first year of planning, and how involved you'd like to be in the planning process (how much education you'd like and how much input you want to be able to discuss different aspects of your plan). We create the planning agreement and set a date to get started.
- From there, we will collaborate to create realistic financial plan to help you achieve your stated goals and you will receive your custom recommendations from me in a written document that you can use to implement the recommendations with whatever company you'd like (including Thrivent).
- We continue to communicate and collaborate to keep your plan up-to-date as your life circumstances change and develop; hopefully while building a meaningful relationship. Come and see!
