About Me - Sebastian Henke
About Me - Sebastian Henke

I was born and raised in Magdeburg, Germany, where my life revolved around soccer. I attended Sportgymnasium Magdeburg, a premier school for elite young athletes, which allowed me to pursue both a quality education and my dream of becoming a professional soccer player.

In 2012, I moved to the United States to continue my athletic career at Houston Baptist University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management while playing NCAA Division I soccer. I later completed my MBA to deepen my expertise in business and finance.

Today, I proudly serve the Houston Bay Area as a financial advisor with Thrivent. I provide holistic financial services, including:

  • Investment guidance
  • Retirement and wealth planning
  • Life insurance and risk management
  • Banking solutions and financial education

Whether you’re just starting your financial journey, building a family, or planning for retirement, I’m here to help you align your finances with your goals and values.

I believe financial freedom isn’t the end goal — it’s a tool that allows you to live a meaningful, generous, and impactful life.

Our Proven Process
Our Proven Process

As part of the Houston Bay Area team, I follow a disciplined, step-by-step planning process designed to help individuals and families throughout Houston prepare for retirement and build long-term financial security.

1. Comprehensive Financial Review

We begin with a detailed assessment of your current financial position — including retirement accounts, investment portfolios, income sources, insurance coverage, tax considerations, and long-term objectives.

For many clients in the Houston area, this phase focuses on identifying retirement income gaps, evaluating risk exposure, and organizing assets for greater efficiency.

2. Retirement & Wealth Strategy Design

Based on your timeline and goals, I develop a personalized financial strategy that may include:

  • Retirement income planning and distribution strategies
  • Investment portfolio construction and asset allocation
  • Risk management and protection planning
  • Tax-efficient wealth accumulation strategies
  • Estate and legacy coordination

Every recommendation is aligned with long-term sustainability, risk tolerance, and measurable objectives.

3. Implementation & Ongoing Oversight

After finalizing your strategy, I assist with implementation and provide continuous guidance. Regular reviews allow us to adjust for market conditions, career transitions, or life changes — ensuring your retirement plan remains on track.

Serving Houston & Surrounding Communities

As a financial advisor serving Houston and nearby communities, I work with professionals, families, and pre-retirees seeking structured retirement planning and long-term investment guidance. Backed by the strength and stability of Thrivent Financial, my focus is to provide comprehensive financial planning built for lasting confidence.

If you’re preparing for retirement or seeking a clearer strategy for your financial future, I welcome the opportunity to begin the conversation.
