Gratitude. This expresses how I feel about my life’s journey. I am proud to have served my country as a missile maintenance specialist with the Air Force. My family and friends are a blessing. When faced with the loss of my father-in-law, the fact they had an established relationship with Thrivent, was invaluable. At the time my father-in-law passed, I was on the path to become a licensed financial professional. I retired from the Air Force and although for many years I aspired to be a teacher, I ultimately knew a traditional classroom setting wasn’t for me. After my children were born, I panicked about supporting them in the best ways possible. I realized through many conversations that I wasn't the only one who felt that their financial learning wasn't up to par. My passion grew to educate myself toward financial clarity and over time, I realized I could fulfill my dream of being a teacher outside the borders of the standard classroom, helping others gain financial literacy.
