Serving Christians, helping them be wise with money and live generously has been a part of my Thrivent journey for over 26 years. I obtained the Certified Kingdom Advisor designation to enhance my Biblical training and therefore help my clients do the same.

I have specialized in asset accumulation and management as well as retirement income distribution, along with all of the protection components of a solid financial plan. I have the training and tools to help people navigate their Social Security benefits, pension plans, and I can provide tax efficiency in the retirement distribution phase of life.

My wife, Cindy and I are very active in church programs. We do a lot of volunteering through our Thrivent Community supporting local 501©3 organizations. Additionally, I am the President – Emeritus of Bike Buckeye Lake an organization designed to create safe family bicycling. I enjoy woodworking, cycling, boating, RV traveling and spending time with family and friends on Buckeye Lake.

I chose to work at Thrivent because I witnessed my dad (Jeff Ritter) build long lasting relationships with his clients and the communities that they have lived in for over 26 years. Witnessing these bonds that were created inspired me to begin my career with Thrivent. My dad has passed on the invaluable tools of giving back and putting others before ourselves. These tools are in my toolbox and now my daughters get to be witnesses.

In January 2013, I married my wife Jessie and we moved to Columbus Ohio from the quad cities in Iowa. We have two daughters, Gracyn and Kamryn. We have two Golden Retrievers, Izzy and Chloe. We are members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. I enjoy cooking, fishing, golf, exercise, gardening and family time.

I joined the Ritter Financial Group in October of 2019 after 3 years in the banking world. Moving from a retail sales environment to Thrivent has allowed me to align my career with my personal values in a way that is impactful to me, and to my community. I am glad to be able to use my career to help others through Thrivent’s many generosity programs. Being able to work and live in Reynoldsburg, where I have resided my entire life, has been very enriching.

Several of my passions include quilting, gardening, feeding the hummingbirds, and playing board and card games (we collect Monopolies, among other games). I love visiting the metro parks with my husband Dan and our dog Harley and I am an avid reader. Currently I am the Treasurer of the Reynoldsburg Chamber of Commerce.

I hold an Ohio Life and Health Insurance License, and I have a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Theology from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe Pennsylvania. 

My name is Beth Newland. I reside in Zanesville Ohio with my husband, Tom. We value our family time with our two adult children and grandson who live in the area. As a longtime member of Thrivent, I welcomed the opportunity to transition to a Financial Advisor and help others with their financial needs. Additionally, I serve with my church to support missionaries and local projects. I am active in my community through Bethel Community Center and as a Master Gardener. My involvement with the Ritter Financial Group will ensure providing you with the best financial advice to meet your individual needs.

I began working at Thrivent, along side my husband and Father-in-law in August 2023. I've always been passionate about what Thrivent offers especially on the generosity side but as I worked with seniors and their families in my previous career, I saw both the need and the amazing impact financial planning has on families.

Outside of Thrivent, I'm a wife to Adam of over 10 years and a mom to my two girls, Gracyn & Kamryn. We have two of the cutest Golden retrievers and most recently two guinea pigs. We are a big soccer family so our weeks are spent Coaching and traveling to tournaments and when we find extra time, we love to boat, visit family in IA & CO and enjoy life!
