Speaker Bio: Emily Gang left her seven year position managing risk for Goldman Sachs to study the ins and outs of Medicare. Since then, she has combined her experience and passion for helping people with the way people should make their Medicare decision. Emily has guided over 100,000 people across the country thru navigating Medicare rules and insurance company confusion to make the right Medicare decision based on their unique situation. Her expertise in Medicare has gained her national recognition as the Medicare Specialist. Emily has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, Nerd Wallet, US News, Yahoo Finance, Retirement Resource Center, and has presented for Thrivent Financial members.

Workshop Description: Emily Gang, The Medicare Coach, offers pre-retirees an overview of Medicare so they can prepare for healthcare in retirement. Choosing the right Medicare plan is complicated, which is why learning more about the plans is essential. To workers who are delaying retirement, she explains how Medicare can be a better option than an employer health plan in some cases. She reveals tips about when to begin preparing for Medicare and ways to save money once they have started Medicare. She explains all the parts of Medicare and how what retirees will be required to pay is determined. She also talks through options they have for covering the gaps in coverage. The key with Medicare is to plan ahead and review your plan during enrollment periods, especially prescription drug plans.
