My Thrivent Story

I moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan from Jakarta, Indonesia when my husband pursued his studies. In my culture, children are expected to support their parents in retirement—my mother depends on her children. I had no background in retirement planning or investing.

As my children grew, I realized I didn’t want to rely on them the same way. That moment pushed me to learn about financial planning and retirement.

Now, I’m passionate about helping others—especially women or immigrants like me—who may feel unprepared or unsure about their financial future. I joined Thrivent because I believe in its mission as a not-for-profit that gives back to the community.

I’m here to walk alongside you as you plan for your future—one step at a time.
