Carols for a Cause
Singing loud for all to hear – help us spread some holiday cheer!
Thrivent has selected five non-profits to participate in Carol for a Cause. Each has chosen a Christmas carol that is special to them. We're asking you for your help in voting for your favorite carol and/or charity. Your vote can help them receive up to $5,000 in community grants from the Thrivent Member Network – Northeast Region.
First Carinthian Baptist Church in New York, NY: Silent Night
Messiah Lutheran Church in partnership with Ponds Reformed Food Pantry, in Oakland, NJ: Joy to the World
New England ELCA Synod's Annual Appeal fund, in Worcester, MA: Away in a Manger
Pathway Forward (Allen AME Church) in Baltimore, MD: This Christmas
Urban League of Rochester in Rochester, NY: Winter Wonderland
*The Carols for a Cause voting will be available from 12:00am Sunday, December 7, 2025 through Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:59pm. One vote per person per email address during the voting period. Click the non-profit's name to be linked to their website to learn more about their mission.

2:00 p.m. - Thrivent Member Reception
The Mansion on Delaware: 414 Delaware Ave. Buffalo, NY
Join us for a pre-show reception. We'll enjoy hors d'oeuvres and beverages and share an update on Thrivent, the Northeast Member Network, and the resources available to help you live a life of clarity, meaning, and gratitude. Tickets for the show will be distributed at the reception.
5:00 p.m. - Performance of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
Shea’s Buffalo Theater: 646 Main St. Buffalo, NY
We'll then head to Shea’s Performing Arts Center to attend Cirque du Soleil's ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. It’s a winter wonderland experience inspired by the poem and filled with whimsical scenery, characters, acrobats, and reindeer.
Collection for Harvest House:We will also be highlighting and collecting items for Harvest House of Buffalo, NY. This non-profit serves the greater Buffalo area with person-centered solutions that have a positive impact on health, well-being, and quality of life, and ultimately break cycles of poverty, hopelessness, and inequity. Attendees are asked to bring a donation to the reception of new, unused socks and underwear for children under 12 years old.
