A lot of people ask me what I do, and it's difficult to explain financial planning in a single sentence because it covers so much. If I had to simplify it, I'd say financial planning is about helping people make informed financial decisions and align their money with what matters most to them. Every day, we make financial decisions that can impact our lives for years to come. Whether you're planning for retirement, managing student loan debt, growing a business, purchasing a home, or building a legacy for future generations, having a plan can provide direction and help keep you moving toward your goals. No two financial situations are exactly alike. That's why I believe it's important to understand each client's goals, values, and complete financial picture before developing recommendations. Financial planning isn't a one-time event. It's an ongoing process that evolves as life changes. Through goal planning, investment planning, tax strategies, protection planning, retirement planning, and estate planning, we help clients make informed decisions with greater clarity and confidence. I'm excited to share that in June, I stepped into a full-time Associate Financial Advisor role at Pilot Wealth Advisors. Just over a year ago, I joined the team as an intern. During that time, I spent most of my days shadowing our lead advisor, learning our financial planning process, and studying for my licensing exams. I was fortunate to complete the majority of those exams before graduation, which allowed me to transition directly into a full-time advisor role. One of the biggest reasons I wanted to join Pilot Wealth Advisors was seeing firsthand the impact a thoughtful financial plan can have on someone's life. I've learned that the most valuable conversations often go beyond investments or insurance products. By looking at a client's entire financial picture, we can help people make more informed decisions and move toward their goals with greater confidence. I'm grateful for the support, mentorship, and opportunities I've received over the past year, and I'm excited to continue learning and serving clients in this new role. If you ever have questions about financial planning or simply want to have a conversation about your financial goals, I'd be happy to connect. Whether you're looking for guidance, a second opinion, or simply have questions about your finances, I'm always happy to be a resource. For additional disclosures see Thrivent.com/social.
