Changing jobs in immediate or near term? Here is a quick checklist to make sure that you are optimizing all of the benefits and opportunities that come with it!
1. Opt in to your new employer retirement account to take advantage of the match. That's a benefit you don't want to leave on the table!
2. Review your new benefit coverage for Life, Health, and Disability Insurance. Make sure you are enrolled in the appropriate amount of coverage for you and your family.
3. Consider what to do with your old 401k. You can roll it into your new 401k or an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to invest it according to your retirement timeline and goals. If you roll it into an IRA, there can be additional tax planning and accessibility options you to take advantage of!
You don't have to figure this out yourself. If you need help figuring out the benefit and retirement options available to you, lets connect!
