As I was growing up, my parents encouraged my siblings and I to pursue godly discipline and wisdom: they worked hard, saved well, avoided debt, and lived freely and generously. At the same time, I watched them host marriage courses at church and in our home, and noted the stressors that can break families apart, namely, in areas of finance. Through my college studies and early career in university admissions, I witnessed countless examples of students, friends, spouses and parents feeling the pain of financial worry, and I wanted to do something about it.
