About Melanie Morat

I’m proud to be a Thrivent Financial Advisor and to serve individuals and families with thoughtful, personalized financial guidance at every stage of life. As a Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA™), I take a client-centered approach that goes beyond numbers—helping you align your financial decisions with your values, goals, and long-term vision.

At Thrivent, we believe money is not an end goal, but a tool—one that can help you live a life rich in meaning, generosity, and purpose. My role is to help you use that tool wisely by creating a clear, personalized strategy built around what matters most to you.

Whether you’re preparing for retirement, navigating a life transition, or simply looking to feel more confident in your financial future, I’m here to help you make informed decisions and stay focused on what matters most. Together, we’ll build a plan designed to support both your financial well-being and the life you want to live.

More About Me
More About Me

Living in Folsom, I truly value the lifestyle that comes with our community, especially the access to incredible outdoor recreation. I’m happiest exploring local hiking trails or biking through scenic landscapes, taking in everything Northern California has to offer.

Family is at the center of my life. I love traveling together and discovering new places, with Lake Tahoe and the coastal redwoods being two of our favorite destinations for both adventure and relaxation. On weekends, you’ll often find me cheering on my kids at their sporting events, and in the winter, we look forward to time in the mountains skiing as a family.

My faith plays an important role in both my life and my work, guiding me to serve others with integrity, compassion, and a long-term perspective.

That same appreciation for balance, planning, and purpose carries into my work. I’m committed to ongoing financial education and continuously growing in this field so I can better serve the individuals and families I work with. Helping clients navigate their financial journey with confidence and clarity is something I’m deeply passionate about.
