About Matt Scott
I grew up on the family farm near Spiritwood, ND where I learned the values of hard work, caring for others, and leaving something better than I found it. This is what led me into this career and the "why" behind what I do.
I have called Aberdeen home since 2005 when I moved here to attend Northern State University for my undergraduate degree and later went on to attend the University of South Dakota where I earned my masters. My time in Aberdeen has been filled with many friendships and relationships that I am grateful for. In my free time I enjoy volunteering, gardening, home improvement projects, hunting, working out, and spending time with family and friends. I am fortunate to have my in laws in Aberdeen and have just a short trip back home to visit family on the farm in North Dakota.
As a Financial Advisor with Thrivent, I am blessed to help clients through their personal financial journey. Through my own experiences, education, and upbringing, I help you identify your values and goals that drive you. I specialize in helping people be more secure in areas of: personal financial planning, asset management, retirement planning, estate planning, wealth management, life insurance plans, disability income insurance, extended care insurance, variable and fixed annuities, college planning, charitable giving, and much more. Meet My Team
Joleen Scott
Family has always been important to me, so when I had the opportunity to help my son, Matt serve his clients, I jumped on it. I have been a member of his team since July 2021.
In my position, I help with account maintenance, marketing, scheduling, and client services. I am fortunate that I am able to do most of this from my North Dakota home.
In my free time, I like to quilt, bake, read, and enjoy the outdoors in the summer. I also like to travel with my husband. I enjoy spending time with my three adult children and grandkids.
