The Cedar Rapids metro area has a wide variety of nonprofit organizations that work tirelessly to serve our communities. We were honored to host them at our event last evening: Smart-Giving Tips for the Happy Donor - A Nonprofit Awareness Fair. Thank you to all the amazing people who spoke from the heart as they represented their organizations: Area Substance Abuse Council, Bridgehaven Pregnancy Support Center, Chains Interrupted, Days for Girls, His Hands Free Clinic, Hope Community Development Association, House of Hope, Matthew 25, Metro Catholic Outreach, Take Away Hunger Cedar Rapids, The Salvation Army, and Waypoint. We are appreciative of Groundswell Event Space for hosting the fair in their beautiful venue. Special thanks to our speaker, Thrivent Financial Consultant Jeff Olinger of Decorah, for providing donor education, and to Teressa Hackenmiller, Thrivent Engagement Leader, for helping at the event. We loved welcoming those who attended to learn more about these great resources in our community. Check out the fair photos!
