Marc Henderson grew up in Los Angeles, raised by a hardworking mother rooted in faith, perseverance, and village. He didn’t learn about financial principles early on, but he knew he wanted a different future than the challenges his family faced—one built with clarity, purpose, and impact.


Today, Marc is a Certified Financial Planner™ PROFESSIONAL, Market Director at Thrivent, and Founding Partner of Legacy Wealth Group. He brings over 15 years of experience helping individuals, families, and business owners align their finances with their goals and values. Before establishing Legacy Wealth Group, Marc worked in various roles at Wells Fargo, Thompson Wealth Management, and Fidelity Investments.


He earned his undergraduate degree from Cal State Northridge, his Personal Financial Planning Certificate from Pepperdine University, and holds the Certified Kingdom Advisor® and Behavioral Financial Advisor™ designations.


Marc was recognized as one of the Top 50 Under 50 African American financial advisors in 2021, the Excellence in Community award in 2024 by the Association of African American Financial Advisors, Charitable Impact award by Fidelity in 2019, Executive Leadership Committee Top Corporate Team by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and joined the Forbes Black Community in 2023.


Outside of his professional work, Marc serves as a board member for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and Seed House Project, extending his commitment to empowering underserved communities.
