My journey into financial advising has been shaped by both my professional background and personal life experiences. Before becoming a financial advisor, I spent more than 30 years as a paralegal working in several areas of law, including civil litigation, product liability defense, criminal defense, and child support enforcement.
In 2022, I joined Thrivent as an Office Professional and soon felt called to become an advisor myself. While working full-time, I studied for and passed my licensing exams so I could help others gain the financial clarity and direction I once needed.
That calling is deeply personal. When I was 41, my husband unexpectedly passed away, and I found myself financially unprepared—with limited life insurance, funeral expenses, bills, and no retirement plan in place. That experience gave me a heart for helping others have important conversations, create a plan, protect what matters most, and understand that there is hope after tragedy.
I now live in Waterville, Ohio, with my husband, Matt Kelly. We enjoy traveling, being part of Waterville Community Church, and spending time with family and our two pug dogs, Charlie and Laney.
No matter where you are in your financial journey, I'm here to help you take the next step with confidence. To book an introductory appointment, you have the option of either in person or through a secure virtual meeting. Contact me at (260) 387-1548 or via email Kelly.Kelly@thrivent.com or simply click on the Book an Appointment button.
