MY JOURNEY - WHY I DO THIS WORK
After graduating with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia (Go Tigers!) and 6 years in the banking industry, I started my journey with Thrivent. I have been passionate about helping Christian individuals and families for over 22 years. As part of helping clients with their financial future, I specialize in assisting clients with their healthcare decisions in retirement; individuals under age 65 who need to select short term health plans; and all clients that require dental and vision plans.
What I enjoy most about my job is helping clients to create a clear vision of their financial future, driven by their values, to make the most of the gifts God has given them. My goal is to meet you where you are at in your financial journey and provide the guidance, knowledge, and experience to help get you to where you want to be.
MY FAMILY – WHAT FILLS MY HEART
I have lived in Missouri my entire life. I am married to Jason, and we have had 6 beautiful children: Kelly, Connor, Madison, Carter, Camden and Kennedy. Connor was married this year, so now I also have a gorgeous daughter-in-law, Carlie. Our family enjoys spending time together and volunteers for causes that are near and dear to our hearts. I love cooking, reading, family fun nights, and spending time outside.
MY PASSION – MAKING A DIFFERENCE WHERE I CAN
Volunteering and giving back has always been a big part of who I am. It is amazing no matter how much time I spend volunteering, I always get back more than I could ever give. My whole family enjoys utilizing our Thrivent Action Teams to help out our local community wherever we can. They make such a difference.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE CAUSES I CARE DEEPLY ABOUT:
Maddie’s Playground at Salem Lutheran Preschool
In 2005, with the help of Make-A-Wish Foundation, we started Maddie’s Playground at Salem Lutheran Preschool after our daughter was diagnosed with cancer. Over the years, the playground has grown and flourished with the help of family and friends. We can often be seen at the playground pulling weeds, trimming, and mulching.
Beaumont Scout Reservation
With the generous support of family and scout friends, we succeeded in organizing the update and expansion for the shooting sports venue at the Beaumont Scout Reservation, in memory of our son Carter. Work is still being done on the shooting complex, and we are excited to see how much the current changes have already made a positive difference in Scouting and look forward to its completion.
