About Joseph Wollersheim
About Joseph Wollersheim

Growing up in Appleton, WI taught me the Midwest values of hard work, honesty, and the importance of community. As a young man, I felt compelled to “go west and explore,” which led me to the University of Montana, where I studied Communications, spent most weekends hiking, and met my wife, Ashley.

After graduation, a series of events took us to Washington, D.C., where I spent five years working in public policy while Ashley taught 1st grade in D.C. public schools. Before starting a family, we joined the Peace Corps, serving for two years in a small village in Mali, West Africa—living without running water or electricity. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for the blessings of life in the U.S. and a lasting sense of responsibility to give of our time, talent and treasures.

In 2010, we moved to Arizona, where we’re now raising our four energetic kids. As a family, we love hiking, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and going out for ice cream. Ashley and I are actively involved with Living Streams Church and Phoenix Young Life.
