I help people use their resources, gifts, and passions not only to reach their goals, but to think bigger and create a greater impact.
My focus is on providing holistic financial guidance, leading with the heart of a teacher every step of the way. Through comprehensive planning, a range of investment approaches, and thoughtfully selected strategies, I help bring clarity and structure to your financial life.
Let’s start with a conversation. Every relationship begins with getting to know you—your goals, your current situation, and what matters most. From there, I’ll share what it can look like to work together. No pressure—just insight, clarity, and practical guidance. You can use the “Book an appointment” button at the top right of the screen to get started.
If it makes sense to continue, we’ll walk through a no-obligation financial health check-up. This provides a clear view of how you’re tracking toward your key goals, along with opportunities to strengthen your position. From there, you can decide if I’m the right partner to help you move forward.
Having spent 15 years at Cummins Inc., I bring firsthand insight into the people, culture, and unique financial opportunities available to employees and retirees.
I help you make sense of – and coordinate - the full range of Cummins benefits, from equity compensation like ESPP and KESIP to retirement plans, deferred compensation, income protection and health savings strategies—so they work together in support of your broader financial goals.
Beyond simply explaining your options and giving recommendations, I help you implement them with clarity and confidence, down to the details of how to take action.
Just as importantly, I aim to help you think bigger about what’s possible—whether that means maximizing the path you’re on or exploring new directions that better align with your values, priorities, and long-term vision.
As a financial advisor I am passionate about helping people do more with that they have been given.
I prefer to lead with a comprehensive financial plan which then guides specific decisions. Because I believe in this approach and that everyone deserves a financial plan, I begin every potential client relationship without any fee or obligation, holding several meetings together to complete a basic financial review which results in strategy level recommendations. From there it is up to the client if they would like to continue working together in one of several ways.
While I have had the joy of traveling to many places, I have lived most of my life where I was born, in Columbus, Indiana – an unexpectedly unique and diverse town in central Indiana.
I attended elementary school at St. Peters and high school at Columbus North, where I ran cross country and track while also being very involved in Boy Scouts, where I achieved the rank of Eagle. I then began studying Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University.
My professional career started at Patheon Pharmaceuticals in Cincinnati, as I participated in the engineering co-op program while at Purdue, but I used my last summer before graduating to complete an internship with Cummins MerCruiser in Charleston, South Carolina. After graduating I got engaged to my awesome wife, Meryn – also a Columbus native, and started working full time with Cummins here in Columbus.
I was at Cummins for a total of 15 years. While there I earned my MBA from the Kelley School of Business and held a variety of engineering and business roles. For some time though, I had felt led to be doing something in a different space where I could help people use the resources, gifts, and passions they have been given to make a bigger impact. For this reason, I left Cummins to start a financial planning practice in Columbus.
My wife and I have regularly attended Westside Community Church for more than 15 years and love actively serving there in a number of different roles.
