About John Stanger

I was a police officer for over 24 years. I began my career in Illinois and then worked the majority of my police career in Minnesota. I started my career at Thrivent upon retiring from law enforcement. My wife, Leah, and I live in Lakeville, Minnesota. We have a grown son, Nick, and our daughter, Mira, just started college. We enjoy travelling and spending time at our cabin in the woods. We attend Hosanna Lutheran Church in Lakeville, Minnesota.

I'm proud to be a Thrivent financial professional. I provide personalized advice and guidance to people at all stages of life. When we work together, I can help you:

•      Build and protect wealth during your working years.

•      Access your money when you need it - especially at retirement.

•      Give to communities, causes and institutions you care about.

I understand the challenges many families face today, and I know how important it is to prepare for the future and protect yourself and your family. I became a financial representative for Thrivent because it furthers my mission to help people and now, I have the opportunity to assist people with their future planning while working with a Christian organization. I am excited to help people understand their goals and priorities to guide them to make wise decisions about money and prepare for and protect their future.

I focus on truly serving you. I develop meaningful relationships by listening to and understanding you, and work with you to create financial strategies that are tailored to your situation.

I teach you how to use your tools. It's not enough to know you have a pension or a 401k. You have choices,

and together we will determine how, when, and why to deploy the most appropriate tactics.

I show you how to assess the gaps. Even great plans can have holes. I help you look beyond

retirement to consider potential risks so you can be prepared for what happens next.
