About John Kochel

I am married to Marie, and I’ve been blessed with three daughters and two stepsons. The four oldest are grown and independent, pursuing their careers and caring for their families. My youngest daughter is currently attending college in Ohio, which also means I have first-hand experience on college planning and financing. Over the past decade, we have been participating in American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) events and have enjoyed watching our youngest daughter become an accomplished rider. An important member of our family is her AQHA horse, The Right Code. We’ll be spending free time attending horse shows in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio and perhaps Oklahoma.

I am an active member of Augustus Lutheran Church in Trappe, Pennsylvania and I serve in various leadership positions. For the past 15 years, I have led a group from our church to serve a hot lunch to our neighbors in need who come to the Grace and Cecil Bean Soup Kitchen in Norristown, PA. We serve the second Wednesday of the month, and I would welcome anyone who wishes to volunteer to come with us to the soup kitchen.
