Why did I become a financial advisor?

I was 6 months pregnant with my first child when I found out I would be on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. Here we were, first-time parents, which is already nerve-wracking enough, and I remember being terrified that I wasn’t going to get paid for the next 3 months and maybe beyond! I can remember being on the phone with my husband and sobbing, saying, “How are we going to pay our mortgage? We can’t live off just your salary!”

I didn’t know then but found out later that my employee benefits package had coverage for this. And that made me wonder, “What else does my package have that I don’t know about!?” And at that exact moment, I became obsessed with understanding every aspect of my financial life and figuring out how it all fits together.

Fast forward to today, my preoccupation with comprehensive planning has grown into a full-blown passion. Except now, my focus is on helping those preparing for retirement feel confident about not running out of money.

My team and I dig through all the details, pieces, and parts of your financial life and craft a customized plan using our comprehensive planning process.

We make sure everything fits together to also help mitigate unnecessary taxes. I want you to understand all of the moving parts and know exactly where your income is coming from.

I never want anyone to feel like I did… unsure of the strategy!

👉 “My kids will figure it out after I’m gone.” This is a common sentiment—and one of the most avoidable estate planning mistakes. A thoughtful estate plan goes beyond distributing your assets. It allows you to clearly communicate your wishes, name trusted decision-makers and ease the emotional and financial burden on the people you love.
