About Jason Henke
Jason Henke is a dedicated financial advisor whose work ethic is evident across his career. The road to the financial services industry and Thrivent, the company he calls home, has been paved with personal loss and hard earned experience. This developed in Jason a drive to create a life that honors God and reflects the many lessons learned along the way.
Jason spent his early years in Wisconsin before moving to Oklahoma where his father, a pastor, was called to serve. Pastor Barrie was well known for his gentle, reflective spirit and wise leadership both at home and in the church. Though he passed away in 2023 after a short and aggressive battle with cancer, his legacy lives on in Jason and his family.
Jason began his career with Thrivent in 2009, the same year that his mother passed away. She lived courageously with Type 1 Diabetes, which rendered her blind during Jason’s childhood. Her death initiated a time of introspection for Jason, which led him out of a successful job in car sales and into financial services.
Jason’s life experiences have made him both compassionate to and passionate for his clients. He serves families and businesses in the Kansas City and Oklahoma City metros by providing financial advice and planning. He lives in Parkville and along with his wife, Nishia and their children, Abi, Natalie, and Jaxon, is a proud supporter of his community. Because of Thrivent’s focus on generosity, Jason is able to amplify his contributions with things like Choice Dollars, Action Teams, and event partnerships. When he isn’t working, he is most likely at the court or field of a kid’s sporting event or at an event for one of the organizations he supports!
Causes Jason Supports
As a “pastor’s kid,” Jason is deeply committed to serving those who serve in ministry and nonprofits. He frequently partners with these organizations to provide support for events and encouragement for community leaders, pastors, teachers, and staff.
Martin Luther Academy
Martin Luther Academy exists to nurture students emotionally, spiritually, and academically. MLA is the school home of Jason’s son and provides Christian education to families in the Northland of Kansas City.

St. Therese promotes students' spiritual, moral and academic development within the tradition of a Catholic community in Kansas City's northland. It is the school home of Jason’s daughters.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and School
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and School is the church where Jason grew up and his dad served for many years. Jason began his business with Thrivent while living in Oklahoma and still serves many clients there. He loves to visit and support the ministries of his old church home.

Feed Northland Kids
Feed Northland Kids works to provide our community's children the nourishment they need to grow, learn and thrive. FNK supplies food pantries at many Northland schools, helping to close the gap on food insecurity.

Jessica began working with Jason in 2023 as an Office Professional. In 2024, to better serve Jason's clients and build her own business, she became fully licensed. Jessica is passionate about financial literacy and, in addition to supporting her own and Jason's clients, works to connect the community to Thrivent's financial events and programs.
