As Christians, we talk a great deal about having a firm foundation in our faith. That means knowing scripture. That means trusting God and knowing Him. It means grounding your life in the unchanging truths of God’s word and His promises, as opposed to trusting in ever changing human ideologies and culture shifts. Without that foundation, anytime we are challenged and experience life disruptions, our hope and ability to move forward is difficult. When I meet with my clients, I am very intentional about asking about their foundation in their finances. Your income and ability to earn is your greatest asset. Having a foundation to protect your income is not a sales tactic. It is education and it is vital if you have any goals or wishes for your future and for your family. Without that foundation, should something happen to you where you could not longer bring income, or it is stopped for any length of time, those dreams and goals will be forced to stop. Starting first with your foundation is a wise and worthy task so that you can care for the people and things that are important to you. Let’s grab a latte and chat about your goals together. If you would like to review your foundation, let’s talk. 🤍 Please see Thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.

Fun night at the Angels game with @Thrivent and treating our members. Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Orange County highlighted the work they do in the community to support coaches and young athletes and how we all can get involved and support them. We were treated to great food, amazing conversations, and even the infamous dessert cart at Angel Stadium! Plus, Angels won!! Wooo hooo! Such a great night! For two days, Bill and I were in gorgeous Newport Beach, CA for a Thrivent work training. Finished night one by living generously and partnering with @Fosterlove to build bikes and skateboards for kids in foster care. I am so unbelievably grateful that we get to work together and help people with their financial goals, and we get to serve our local communities, churches and organizations. Living Generously isn’t just a phrase. It is entrenched into the heart and soul of Thrivent. Our work has meaning, purpose and is fueled by our faith. I could not have asked for a greater place to work. See Thrivent.com/social for important disclosures.

Your Income Is Your Financial Foundation- Protect It First! Starting your career? Here's the #1 financial move most young adults skip: Protect your income before anything else. Think about it: Your ability to earn is literally your biggest asset. A 25-year-old earning $50k annually will make $2+ Million over their career. Would you leave a $2M house uninsured? Why income protection comes FIRST: *No income = no emergency fund, no investments, no financial goals. *One illness/injury could derail everything you're building. *It's cheaper when you're young and healthy. *Gives you freedom to take career risks knowing you're covered. Start with: Disability insurance options- Check with your employer, as well as research supplemental options for you. For most individuals, group policies are not enough. Life Insurance if anyone depends on you. Build that emergency fund. I am sure you have heard it a 1000x before. You will hear it a 1000x again. Pay yourself first and aim to save approximately 6-8 months. Your paycheck funds everything else in your financial plan. Protect the source, then invest and grow from there! What's your biggest financial priority right now? See thrivent.com/social for important disclosures. #Personalfinance #youngadults #careergoals #womenandfinance #Financialliteracy #Thrivent
