Our team

Adam started with Thrivent in 2008, just a few years after graduating college. Thrivent was the perfect fit as he knew he wanted to help people with finances, as well as run his own business. In 2014, he received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification. Adam married his college sweetheart, Stephanie, in 2005, and moved to Savannah, Georgia. They have been blessed with two beautiful children and have one dog, a beagle named Maui. Their family attends Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church where Adam teaches Sunday school. His family is very passionate about serving others and giving back to the community. They also enjoy supporting local charities with their time and treasures. Some of their favorite organizations are PACK, Warriors for William, CURE Childhood Cancer, Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity, The Living Vine, and Urban Hope.

Ben is a financial advisor and head of operations for Hess Wealth Advisors. He and his wife, Paige, have two boys, and after many years in the Athens and Atlanta areas, are now proud to call Savannah home. Ben is a former pastor, professional musician, and worked in the nonprofit space before bringing his desire to help others to Thrivent. He’s a graduate of the University of Georgia and when he’s not helping guide our clients, he can be found with a guitar, camera or golf club in his hand.

Susan, a native South Carolinian, married her best friend (Josh) in 2011 and has called Savannah home since 2005. She has worked for Thrivent since 2016 and joined the Hess Wealth Advisor team in July 2024. When she is not assisting clients to be the best stewards of all they’ve been given, you will find her cheering their twin boys on for Tormenta travel soccer league. Or, perhaps because she’s a Carolina Girl in a Georgia world – she’s cheering on her alma mater, University of South Carolina for SEC football and basketball! Susan’s servant leader heart is her motivation for sharing time, talent and treasure with many local organizations (Visit Radiant Church, Inc., Divine Rest, Inc., Shelter from the Rain, Inc., Susie King Taylor Community School and Savannah AMBUCS, Inc. to learn more). 

Josue and his wife are US Army veterans and reside in Chapel Hill, NC. Josue began working for Hess Wealth Advisors in 2024 and has a passion for financial planning. He is currently attending Southern New Hampshire University working towards his bachelor’s degree with the ambition of becoming a Certified Financial Planner. He enjoys spending time with family, walking his dog, Cindy-Lou, and going on the occasional run. 

Olivia and her husband, Sean, have two children and currently are living in Pennsylvania after a few short years in the south. Olivia has worked for Hess Wealth Advisors since 2017 and has a deep passion for helping all our clients. She graduated from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 2013. Olivia loves to throw down in the kitchen and try new dessert recipes whenever she has a free moment to do so.

Amanda and her husband, Michael, now live in Scurry, Texas (population 688), outside of Dallas. Amanda graduated from Texas A&M University and followed her Army husband across the Southeast. Amanda started working for Hess Wealth Advisors in 2012 as his first employee. She left Savannah in 2018 after Michael retired from the military, so they could live closer to her family. She is excited to, once again, assist the Hess Wealth Advisor team in helping clients achieve their goals. Amanda and Michael have two daughters, two dogs, and one son-in-law.

Lauren has recently returned to full-time work in financial planning after 19 years of raising her two beautiful daughters. She graduated from Guildford College in 2002 and worked in the financial planning industry before starting a family. She joined Hess Wealth Advisors in 2024 and thoroughly enjoys assisting the team in serving others in their financial planning needs. A native New Englander, she moved to the Savannah area in 2023. Lauren loves all things outdoors, is an avid swimmer and cyclist, and loves walking Coal, her black lab. She loves studying God’s word with other women and striving together to be the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Christ in her community. 

Dan started with Thrivent (previously AAL) in 1996. He is married to Jackie, and they have 3 children, Kristine, Dan Jr., and Jeffrey. Dan loves to travel, fish, take a good walk, and golf. He currently attends Grace Lutheran Church, Pensacola, FL where is serving as a Financial Committee member and has formerly served as President

and Backpack Ministry helper. He has led 7 Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity Worldwide and participated in 7 additional builds.
