What is in a name?
Our practice name is Heart of the Valley Wealth Advisors. I wonder how often our clients think about this name or why we chose it?
Those who live in and around our office in Menasha, Wisconsin recognize it as a geographic name- “Heart of the Valley” is a specific area of the Fox River Valley , and overlaps what was known as Paper Valley ( the Fox River was an excellent source of water and power, and this area was near the right kinds of trees and forests for paper mills). People can relate to this name as a practice in the center, and accessible to them.
Those of us near our other office in San Jose, CA, we are in Santa Clara Valley, and in the last 30 years has been known as Silicon Valley, and before that had a long history of agriculture, specifically fruit orchards. Our office, geographically, is right in the heart of this area. Again, we hope to send the message of accessibility.
Then there is this other meaning of the word “Heart”. For me, having this word in our team name identifies our #1 core value. Having “heart”.
We hope your experience with us is one in which you have felt our team’s heart for you , your relationships, and your joyful stewardship of your resources. We see it in your trust in us as you share not only your financial life, but often also your relationships, as well as the highs, that we celebrate, and the lows, which we commiserate.
In this path of having heart as our foundation to serve you, I am humbled and honored to have an amazing team mate and partner in Troy , and that we have the synergy of our team, currently Edana Beck, Rebekah Frank, Ken Truyman, Mike Glantz, and our remote service professionals Darcy Juday, Michele Smith and Tanya Londre.
We cannot fully have heart with you, unless we fully have heart internally with our team. And I am thankful that Troy and I have heart for each other both professionally and personally.
