My Story

I grew up in rural West Virginia in coalmining towns. My dad was an electrician in the mines and mom stayed at home, taking care of my older sister, brother, and me.

After college and seminary, I pastored churches in West Virginia for eight years before moving to Florida. I worked on a church plant in Orange Park before relocating to the foothills of North Carolina in 2014. I’ve been in churches ranging from 6 people to thousands.

For many years, I felt a burden to coach people financially. Money touches every area of our lives. I coached people to set budgets for many years. In late 2024, I began to pursue following my passion to help families and businesses reach their goals and achieve financial freedom through protection, investing, and financial planning.

At Thrivent, I don’t have to set aside my faith to help people with their finances.
