I’ve always been interested in finances and markets. After selling wrapping paper door to door for my first paper route in 6th or 7th grade, I liked the idea of having my own business. In junior high, someone recommended I read “A Random Walk Down Wall Street” and I was hooked. After college I followed my dad into the business – he had joined Thrivent after a career in the Air Force. I liked the flexibility of his schedule and how he had the opportunity to help people in new and different ways at each appointment. I have now been with Thrivent for 23 years, and it's not a stretch to see myself here for another 23!
I think my unique ability is to relate to clients and to help them understand difficult financial concepts through stories and examples. My favorite part of this job is helping people solve problems around money and finances - especially through their financial and tax planning. I love helping find creative ways to accomplish their goals, whether that’s retirement, college planning for their kids, or helping a charity they care about.
I’m truly blessed that I’ve found a career that I love and to work with the best clients and co-workers.
