Our story

Dave joined Thrivent in 2011, after feeling called to serve people through a financial services organization driven by a higher purpose. Over the next several years, he built a team to serve northeastern Kansas and beyond. The Flint Hills Group now boasts six team members and continues to grow.  

Blaine joined forces with Dave, his friend and mentor, after graduating from Kansas State University in 2015. He strives to make an eternal impact by helping clients work toward their dreams and be good stewards of the resources entrusted to them by God.  

Dave’s son, Dillon, came on board soon after Blaine, and personifies our commitment to generational financial planning. Dillon relishes the close relationships he’s built here and feels our strong bond enables us to serve clients more effectively.  

In 2019, Scott joined Flint Hills Group. Dave became Scott’s financial advisor—and dear friend—after Scott moved to Manhattan in 2013. Their friendship eventually led to conversations about Scott joining the team, which he felt called to do shortly before the pandemic began.  

Susan and Amy round out our team by providing much appreciated administrative and insurance support while helping carry out our mission.  

At Flint Hills Group, faith and family are two core values shared by everyone on our team. We take care of each other and push each other to be better. We celebrate our families’ successes and lift each other up during difficult times.
