We are collecting donations for the North Hills Backpack Initiative, a program that provides supplemental food, snacks, and essential personal care items to North Hills School District students in need. The initiative helps ensure that children have access to nutritious food and basic necessities outside of the school day, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom. Donations of individually packaged food items, hygiene products, and personal care items are greatly appreciated. 🌳 Tree Planting Day 🌳We are ending our office Grand Opening week with a community tree planting event with the Allegheny County Parks Foundation, helping make a positive impact right in our local park. Please reach out to our office to RSVP or if you have any questions at 412-748-0625. Agenda for the day: o 9:00 – 9:15am: Introductions from ACPF Staff and Park Rangerso 9:15 – 9:30am: Rangers provide planting instructions and safety overviewo 9:30 – 11:45am: Planting time – This is dependent on the number of volunteers, it is possible we end early depending on group sizeo 11:45am – 12:00pm: Wrap up and group photoWaivers: All volunteers must sign our waiver: https://acparksfoundation.org/acpf-waiver/Attire: Participants should wear long pants and closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather. The Allegheny County Parks Foundation will provide tools and personal protective equipment for everyone including gloves, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own.What to bring: Please bring a water bottle.
