Connecting your Finances to a Bigger Purpose and Impact
Connecting your Finances to a Bigger Purpose and Impact

I believe God has entrusted us with the gifts of time, talents, and treasures and that faithful stewardship of these gifts is both a calling and a responsibility. My mission is to help individuals, families, and organizations along the Front Range and beyond align creative and strategic financial planning with their goals, creating lasting impact for themselves, their communities, and future generations.

I entered the financial services space with Thrivent in 2019 after talking to a local Thrivent financial advisor to help my wife, Ellie, and I get started on our own financial plan. As I saw and felt the positive impact that these conversations had on our current situation and future outlook, it was clear that this career path was my calling.

I am husband to my wife, Ellie, and dad to our daughters, Heidi and Hanna. I serve on the board of The Community Roundtable, supporting Christian non-profit ministries throughout the Pikes Peak region. When I’m not working or with my family, I enjoy connecting with the Colorado Springs community, exploring local hiking trails, and summiting Colorado 14ers. When on the trail you’ll find me with my Goldendoodle, Bristol, by my side.

I enjoy the challenge of crafting a personalized plan for individuals, families, and organizations that reflects their values, goals, and purpose.

My areas of specialty are:

  • Helping young families get started on their planning: reducing debt; proper insurance coverage; Saving for future goals

  • Tax planning and retirement income planning

  • Generosity planning and philanthropic achievement with donors and non-profit organizations

  • Retirement plans for non-profits and churches

I graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with a degree in history and earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation from The American College of Financial Services in 2021.

I look forward to connecting with you soon!

What to Expect During the Planning Process
What to Expect During the Planning Process

My process is designed to help you gain clarity, make informed decisions, and stay aligned with what matters most to you. We begin with a structured conversation focused on understanding your priorities, values, and overall financial picture. We’ll review key details, identify opportunities or gaps, and clarify what you want your plan to accomplish. This foundation helps ensure we’re aligned and sets the stage for a strong, long‑term partnership.

From there, our work continues through the implementation of the strategy. Through continued meetings, we’ll track progress, adjust strategies as life changes, and revisit goals as your life changes.

By combining face-to-face conversations with advanced planning technology, my role is to educate you on your options, empower you to make the best decisions, and guide you through the planning process.

Legacy planning doesn't have to be stressful. With the right tools and timely strategies, you can stay true to your vision and help your loved ones feel prepared. Here are a few key things to keep in mind: • The amount you can pass on without federal estate or gift tax is $15 million per person—or $30 million for married couples in 2026. These higher limits give families more flexibility and room to plan for the future. • Preparing your wealth transfer priorities today can make a meaningful difference. Name beneficiaries, establish a will and consider trusts. • Gifting can also play a role. Many people give annually to take advantage of the gift tax exclusion—up to $19,000 per person in 2026 without triggering gift tax. A thoughtful approach can help more of what you’ve built reach the people and causes you care about. ➡️ https://bit.ly/4hpRIzN
