As a financial advisor at Thrivent, I work closely with individuals, families, and businesses to help them build, protect, and share their financial well‑being through comprehensive, values‑based guidance. My approach includes creating holistic financial plans and offering services such as investments, retirement planning, insurance, risk management, tax‑aware strategies, business succession planning, employee benefits guidance, and charitable and generosity planning tailored to each client’s goals and values. With a focus on long‑term relationships, I help clients make informed financial decisions that support both personal and business objectives while adapting as life and markets change.  I regularly partner with businesses to provide financial education and personal advice, for both W2 and 1099 employees.     

Background

My life has given me a broad variety of experience in both the Nonprofit and Professional world. As a child of missionaries and teachers, benevolence and education were on my mind from a young age. I received two associates degrees, in Fire Suppression and Paramedicine, while living in Salem, Oregon. After some time working with Younglife’s property management team, I moved to the Oregon Coast to begin my career in the emergency medical service.

My 8 years as a Paramedic gave me experience leading high-performance teams in non-ideal circumstances. I became familiar with communicating complex concepts clearly in all situations with both team members and patients and learned that professional competency is what makes room for focusing on the people we encounter. My professionalism and communication skills lead to teaching high performance CPR to other providers in my last 2 years on the coast. 

Through a church connection, I also helped in the management of a small board game design business. I worked closely with the CEO to manage current customer relationships, coordinate international logistics to more than 70 countries, and plan overall strategy. The amount of complexities that I encountered makes me excited to work with other small businesses and their employees to plan as carefully for their finances as they plan for their business operations.

Outside of Work

In my free time I enjoy everything from bouldering, both indoor and outdoor, to game nights with friends to concerts and seeing everything Colorado Springs has to offer. Since moving from the Oregon Coast, I have been exploring all of the gems in the Colorado Springs area and even taking in some fantastic Switchbacks games. I have turned in my surf board for rock climbing gear which seems to be much easier to store and carry.
