Adam has been with Thrivent since December 2016 and continues to work in the agriculture industry as well. He provides personalized financial guidance to people at all stages of life. Through work in retirement planning, education funding strategies, identifying insurance needs and investment strategies, he enjoys helping clients reach their financial goals by creating connections based around knowledge and understanding of individual needs.  

Adam is a Valley City native and likes to spend time with his family and friends. In his free time, Adam enjoys watching NDSU Athletics, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Minnesota Twins. He loves fishing, hunting and spending time at the lake. 

As a kid, I grew up loving all things competition. It did not matter if it was sports, board games, or who could keep their hand on the frozen North Dakota windows the longest, I wanted to win. Valley City, ND was where I spent my high school years, and it gave me so much to be grateful for. I was fortunate to grow up with parents who allowed me to explore any opportunity I wanted to. That competitive spirit led me into wanting to succeed in whatever was placed in front of me, such as playing a multitude of sports in high school, while also being an honor roll student. I was so fortunate to have a dad who showed me that anything was achievable with hard work. My dad has worked for the same company for nearly 40 years building a reputation as someone who can be trusted in the field. That dedication and trust has always been something I’ve wanted to bring to my clients. I have been with Thrivent since October of 2020, and truly feel this is where I can achieve that same devotion to my career.  

After high school, I attended NDSU where I achieved my Bachelors of Science in Business Marketing. While at NDSU I created a wealth of knowledge along with some lifelong friends. After graduation, I moved to Wahpeton to start a path of my own. I explored multiple options before landing with a career that I’m truly passionate about. Life has slowed down since those days, and now in my free time, I enjoy my hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and golfing. I also love spending time with my wife Nichole and my 2 dogs, Brooks and Duke.

My wife Nichole and I got married in August of 2022, and she is truly my better half. After purchasing our first home in the Breckenridge, MN area, we love to be a part of the community in as many ways as possible. We enjoy our time playing golf at Bois De Sioux, meeting friends for a drink at the Brew, and going to as many Huskies, Cowboys and Cowgirl events as we can. (As a former Valley City Hi-Liner, it can still be difficult to cheer for the Huskies, but I’m coming around slowly but surely haha). Wahpeton was so open in welcoming us to the community, that we try to give back in a multitude of ways. Becoming city ambassadors, joining the Buffalo Club, and hosting an annual teacher school supply fundraiser, are just some of the ways we give back to the community that has given so much to us. 

I take these life experiences, and competitive attitude into my practice to enhance the client experience. I understand the difference a good advisor can make, so I strive to better myself with continuing education, and finding new certifications that would be beneficial to serving my clients. I want to give back to my clients and the community, just as they have given back to me, and look forward to building relationships along the way. 

Sam joined Thrivent in September of 2017 as a part-time Office Professional. She enjoys supporting the office and learning about all the ways that Thrivent helps its members and their communities. She likes working with clients to find different ways to get involved in their community by doing Action Teams. Sam is a graduate of VCSU with a degree in Human Services. She has a graphic design certificate and enjoys working with that on that side. In her free time, Sam enjoys spending time with her husband, Geoff, her friends and of course her cats. She likes traveling, attending Minnesota Twins games, and giving back to the community.

Although Steph is not an 'official' member of the Dakota Prairie Associates, she remains to be an integral part of our office and continues to assist members with their financial needs. As a Market Developer, she helps to lead the financial professionals in our region. Stephanie has been with Thrivent since August 2019. Stephanie has lived in Valley City for 14 years. She and her husband Kyle have two boys, Parker and Riley. Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering for her kids’ activities, and reading a good book in her spare time. 

Like Steph, Scott is one of our regions' Market Developers. While Scott leads the financial professionals in our region, he continues to guide members to reach their financial goals. Scott was a high school teacher before starting his career at Thrivent in 2014. In his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Wendi, and children, Abby, Alyssa, and Zach. Scott likes traveling, watching his favorite sports teams, fishing and the outdoors.
