Bethania Kids
We have been impacting our communities for good for many years, and we love to involve our clients in opportunities for generosity. We have led Habitat for Humanity Builds and local food drives, as well as hosted numerous fund raisers for local charities.
David Granner, a child of missionary parents, is a cofounder of Bethania Kids, a ministry to destitute, disadvantaged and disabled children in India, which has touched over 3,000 lives. He is currently active in children’s ministry in India and travels frequently to help lead the process of nurturing and equipping children to change their own world, through Jesus’ love.
Bethania Kids was founded in 1987 as a Christian ministry to provide a home for nine orphaned children in Kannavadi, Tamil Nadu, South India. Since then, the Bethania Foundation has grown to serve nearly 1,000 impoverished children, women and families in 15 separate sites: four residential homes (two for girls and two for boys) in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh; nine care centers providing day care and after school care in Tamil Nadu and tribal areas of Odisha; two centers to meet the needs of differently abled children; and six Women’s Empowerment Programs where women learn skills to enable them to support their families. The Bethania Kids staff in each home, care center and program is committed to providing top-quality and individualized care for all people served while assuring them of God’s unconditional love for each of them.
We support both the empowerment of our clients to make wise and good decisions and empowerment of disadvantaged people in our local community of southeast Michigan, as well as in our global community.
