Building Hope in Zambia
For over 20 years, Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent have worked together globally to help families access safe, affordable housing. Together, we’ve contributed $283 million, served over 25,000 individuals through new and renovated homes, and logged more than 6.4 million volunteer hours.
In Zambia, Habitat has partnered with vulnerable and low-income families to build over 220 homes, addressing the housing crisis in one of the country’s largest informal settlements—where many families face insecure land rights and difficult living conditions. One of these homes will soon belong to Mary and her three grandchildren.
Our team worked alongside local builders to raise the walls of Mary’s home. With the walls up, attention turned to securing the roof. Teamwork and compassion filled every step of the process.
We’re grateful for your prayers and support. The Habitat staff guiding us have been inspiring mentors and faithful leaders.
