The Lifetime Gift | Featuring Shelly Halverson
When talking about what-if situations and death, the hardest part is knowing where to start. Get the tools to help you talk and prepare.
We plan for weddings, college, vacation, and retirement. Why is it so hard to plan for death? Get tools to help you talk to loved ones and prepare at A Lifetime Gift when Certified Celebrant Shelly Halverson suggests open conversation and offers a practical checklist filled with encouraging instructions.
About the presentation: Creator and Facilitator of A Lifetime Gift™️ Shelly Halverson will be sharing insights about how to prepare for what-if situations and the end of your life. Her personal experiences, research and training to be a Certified Celebrant have prepared her to explain how and why it’s valuable to be open with those you love. She will walk through a checklist of important documents, final wishes, and personal instructions that are beneficial to attendees. All the things you know about your world, but who else knows this information if you need assistance? It's a gift for you and your loved ones in the event of a major health change or at end of life.
Join us at The Gingerbread House to watch Shelly's virtual presentation while we enjoy a fantastic dinner together.
This event is FREE and is open to both Thrivent members and guests. Seating is very limited so reserve your spot today!

Mother's Day Tea Party
Join us for a charming Mother’s Day Tea Party as we celebrate the special people who nurture, guide, and care for those they love. Guests are invited to enjoy a relaxing afternoon featuring tea, light refreshments, and sweet treats in a beautiful, welcoming setting.
This gathering is designed to be a meaningful moment to slow down, connect, and show appreciation, and is best suited for adults and older children. The focus will be on sharing conversation, enjoying an unhurried moment together, and simple, thoughtful touches that make the day feel special.
Whether you’re celebrating a mom, bringing one along, or honoring someone who has made a difference in your life, we look forward to celebrating together in a peaceful and thoughtful way.

Ice Cream Block Party for a Cause
You’re invited to a Thrivent Communities Ice Cream Block Party and Day of Service drop in—an afternoon centered on generosity, connection, and caring for our neighbors.
While enjoying free Leopold’s Ice Cream, guests are welcome to stop by our office, meet our team, and take part in meaningful hands‑on service.
During the event, we’ll be supporting a local nonprofit by collecting non‑perishable food donations as well as new children's clothes and shoes, and working together to pack food bags for local kids. These small acts of service help create real impact for families right here in our community.
In the spirit of Thrivent Communities, this gathering is about coming together to serve, give back, and live generously alongside others who care. Guests can also participate in simple, family‑friendly activities like writing encouragement notes for local children and families, learning more about community needs, and connecting around shared values.
All are welcome to attend—bring a donation if you’re able, enjoy a scoop of ice cream, and join us in making a difference together. RSVP not required, but encouraged.
