Erica has been with Thrivent since 2013 and is our team’s lead financial advisor. She knew at a very young age that she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and make a positive impact on people’s lives through her work.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Erica develops comprehensive, personalized, dedicated financial plans for our clients that are tailored to their unique goals. Her advanced designations allow her to take a holistic approach to financial planning. Whether it's creating a roadmap to retirement or focusing on tax-efficient strategies, Erica is committed to helping our clients achieve financial clarity.

Outside of the office, Erica serves on the board of directors as the administrative coordinator for the Vacaville Christian Ministry Association (VCMA), an organization that is very close to her heart. She also enjoys traveling and one of her life goals is to visit every US National Park.

He has been married to Denise since 1986 and has two daughters, Erica and Charlotte. When he’s not in the office, Paul enjoys watching his favorite soccer team, Liverpool, and playing card games with his family.

Jake Woodbrey
Director of Operations

Since joining Thrivent in 2022, Jake has drawn on more than 20 years of hands-on experience in family-run businesses to shape our operations and build strong relationships. His journey—from working on the farm to managing multi-location franchises—has given him a well-rounded perspective on everything from daily operations to human resources across 16 locations and 130 employees. This diverse background not only helps him streamline processes but also ensures that every client benefits from a service model built on genuine, real-world experience.

As Director of Operations, Jake combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of human dynamics. His degree in Psychology, with an emphasis on industrial-organizational psychology, informs his strategic approach to enhancing team performance and operational efficiency. By integrating rigorous process management with genuine personal connection, he creates solutions that not only drive operational success but also enrich the overall client experience.

Jake resides in North Idaho (affectionately known as Upstate Idaho) with his wife, Sarah, and their five children. Their commitment to stewardship and volunteerism has only deepened since joining Thrivent. A passionate advocate for innovation, Jake is continually exploring cutting-edge technology to refine our team’s processes. Outside of work, he and his family enjoy discovering local “hole in the wall” eateries, expanding their horizons through Audible and Masterclass, and engaging in a variety of adventures—from u-pick fruit outings and farmer’s markets to cave explorations and theme parks.

Client Service Administrator

Heidi Haugen serves the team by handling all our Dedicated Financial Planning operations, including entries into our retirement planning software. With her extensive experience in employer benefit programs and leading Financial Peace University classes at her church, Heidi is truly passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals. Her meticulous approach ensures that our clients receive the most accurate and up-to-date information possible, allowing them to make informed financial decisions with confidence when they meet with our team’s financial advisors. Her organization skills and attention to detail ensure that our financial planning operations run seamlessly and proficiently.

Heidi enjoys volunteering at her home church, The Father’s House, where she serves on both the production team and in the foster care ministry. She values meaningful work and service, and her dedication to these values shines through in all that she does. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, and watching martial arts movies.

Serving as our team’s Office Manager, Denise is the backbone of our team. She is responsible for overseeing client interactions, handling our internal processes, and ensuring that our team operates efficiently and effectively.

Denise joined our team in 2016 after retiring from a successful career in public service. She has held a variety of positions, ranging from Records Clerk to Crime Scene Investigator to Identifications and Records Services Manager. She is a natural leader and excels at streamlining processes and training our newer team members. She is highly efficient, and her excellent follow-through ensures that tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.

Denise is also an incredible cook who loves to use fresh produce from her garden to create delicious meals for her family. She also has a heart for serving her community and always uses her personal Thrivent Action Teams to bless several of her favorite nonprofits each year!
