Erica has been with Thrivent since 2013 and is our team’s lead financial advisor. She knew at a very young age that she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and make a positive impact on people’s lives through her work.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Erica develops comprehensive, personalized, dedicated financial plans for our clients that are tailored to their unique goals. Her advanced designations allow her to take a holistic approach to financial planning. Whether it's creating a roadmap to retirement or focusing on tax-efficient strategies, Erica is committed to helping our clients achieve financial clarity.
Outside of the office, Erica serves on the board of directors as the administrative coordinator for the Vacaville Christian Ministry Association (VCMA), an organization that is very close to her heart. She also enjoys traveling and one of her life goals is to visit every US National Park.

He has been married to Denise since 1986 and has two daughters, Erica and Charlotte. When he’s not in the office, Paul enjoys watching his favorite soccer team, Liverpool, and playing card games with his family.

Jake has been with Thrivent since 2022, bringing a rich background in relationship management and attention to detail from his two decades of experience in family-run businesses. His career, spanning from farming to franchises, has involved overseeing operations and human resources for up to 16 locations and around 130 employees. Jake’s expertise in building strong relationships and managing complex details makes him a valuable asset to our team, where he focuses on supporting our clients' financial well-being.
Jake believes that effective financial management requires not just technical skills but also an understanding of personal dynamics. His degree in Psychology, with an emphasis on industrial-organizational psychology, underscores his commitment to integrating emotional and relational aspects into financial planning. This perspective allows him to create meaningful and personalized financial strategies that truly resonate with clients.
Jake resides in North Idaho (which he affectionately calls Upstate Idaho) with his wife, Sarah, and their five children. Their shared dedication to stewardship and volunteerism has only deepened since joining Thrivent. Jake is also an avid enthusiast of cutting-edge technology and its potential to enhance our team’s processes.
Outside of work, Jake and his family enjoy exploring local “hole in the wall” eateries, expanding their knowledge through Audible and Masterclass, and engaging in diverse activities such as u-pick fruit adventures, farmer’s markets, cave exploration, and theme parks.

Heidi Haugen serves the team by handling all our Dedicated Financial Planning operations, including entries into our retirement planning software. With her extensive experience in employer benefit programs and leading Financial Peace University classes at her church, Heidi is truly passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals. Her meticulous approach ensures that our clients receive the most accurate and up-to-date information possible, allowing them to make informed financial decisions with confidence when they meet with our team’s financial advisors. Her organization skills and attention to detail ensure that our financial planning operations run seamlessly and proficiently.
Heidi enjoys volunteering at her home church, The Father’s House, where she serves on both the production team and in the foster care ministry. She values meaningful work and service, and her dedication to these values shines through in all that she does. Denise is also an incredible cook who loves to use fresh produce from her garden to create delicious meals for her family. She also has a heart for serving her community and always uses her personal Thrivent Action Teams to bless several of her favorite nonprofits each year!
