Occasionally I’m asked what advice I’d give my younger self. Here goes.
1: Enjoy the hair, it won’t be there forever.
2: Set aside what you can and invest early, time will do the heavy lifting for you.
3: Buy life insurance after you get a job when you’re young to protect your future family, it’ll never be cheaper than it is now.
4: You’ve been given a lot, give back when you can. It feels great when you do.
5: Do the fun thing and enjoy time being with the people you love. They may not be there forever either.
6: Don’t jump off that cliff, you know it’s a terrible idea and you’re going to do it anyway.
Sincerely,
Older (wiser?) you.
