Our story

Sherryl, our founder, was recruited by Thrivent in 2003 while working in fundraising for Greater Lutheran Church. From the beginning, Sherryl’s goal was to build a practice that included financial professionals with a variety of specialties, including financial and estate planning and charitable giving.

Cascade West Group changed dramatically in 2015 when Sherryl’s daughter, Camille Adair-Hatch, joined our team. She brought a wealth of knowledge as a licensed attorney who had practiced as in-house counsel for four years after graduating from law school. 

We were also blessed to add David Van Deusen to our team in February 2016. He brought unique expertise with his investment management and financial planning background. 

In addition to being a team of strong, flexible financial professionals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our clients, we’re also committed to spreading generosity. In 2015, after one of our dear team members, Connie Hogue, lost her husband, we embraced cancer research and patient services. After three years of supporting Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society (ACS), we created the "Tough Against Cancer Initiative" for ACS*.

We encourage our clients with membership to raise their charitable giving and volunteerism to new levels by participating in Thrivent Action Teams and many of Thrivent’s other unique programs for giving back.
