Growing up in northern Minnesota, I always enjoying living here but loved going out and exploring other parts of the United States and eventually the world. I attended and graduated from Minnesota State Moorhead with a degree in Business Management and was then fortunate enough to land an opportunity to work in the Telecom field in New York City where I got to really learn how business functions!
I have been living in Grand Rapids and practiced as a Financial Advisor since January of 2003 and am extremely blessed to live where I’m close to family, enjoy the lakes and woods, and work in vocation where I can truly impact others’ lives.
My family consists of my wife Kari of 21 years, our daughter Ella who is entering her Senior year of high school and our son Bennett entering his freshman year at Grand Rapids High School. And don’t forget our Picardy Spaniel, Rosie!
As a family, we enjoy anything outdoors including any lake activity, skiing, tubing, boating and fishing; time in the woods hunting deer and grouse; taking annual road trips around the country.
Two of my core values are my Faith and my Family, which I carry into my Financial Advising practice. Expect the following three things when meeting with us:
1) We are going to take the time to listen to you and get to know you and your family.
- Financial Planning is very personal and requires special attention
2) We are going to ask questions and ask you to provide a complete picture of where you are financially and personally.
- It’s imperative that we are thorough and understand all the moving parts to help provide you with the best advice possible
3) Fun and laughter. We believe that working through your finances does not need to be rigid and boring. We will have serious conversations however we will also be having fun!
Our practice specializes in working with the following clients:
1) Individuals and couples who are within 10-15 years of retirement and are seeking a relationship with an Advisor and team that will guide through the intricacies of planning for educating your children, caring for aging parents and solidifying your own retirement plan.
2) Those who are already retired desire a relationship with an Advisor and Team to guide them through their retirement years!
3) Business Owners wanting guidance for themselves, their business and employees.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
