About Me

I grew up surrounded by the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Oconee, South Carolina—but my early life was far from easy. My mother passed away when I was a baby, and my father raised me and my three brothers on a minimum wage income as a single parent. Those childhood experiences taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and the value of compassion—lessons that have guided every step of my life and career.

Helping Others Thrive

I began my professional journey as a social worker, spending 11 years with the Department of Social Services. Most of that time was devoted to working with children in foster care and their families, before eventually serving as Deputy Director of the Richland County office. In those roles, I saw how financial stress impacts every aspect of life—not only for the people we served, but for staff as well. This solidified my belief that financial well-being is the foundation of a thriving life. When our basic needs are met, we have the freedom to dream bigger and reach higher.

My path to financial advising began during a turning point in my own life. After separating from my ex-husband, I started financial coaching as a side business to support myself as I transitioned to a single income. What began as a necessity quickly became a calling. I discovered the joy of helping people gain confidence, clarity, and control over their money—and watched their lives transform as a result.

In 2025, I joined Thrivent as a Financial Advisor, where I’m able to blend my heart for service with the tools of holistic financial planning. Today, I help clients move beyond simply surviving to truly thriving—creating lives they love and achieving the goals that matter most to them.

Personal Life

Outside of work, you’ll often find me soaking up the beauty of nature—camping under the stars, hiking scenic trails, or chasing the sound of waterfalls with my senior puppy, Boo Bear, happily by my side.

When the weather keeps me indoors, I enjoy the simple pleasures of a good board game, card game, or puzzle. I’m also an avid reader and a lifelong learner, always seeking out new ideas, perspectives, and skills that help me grow both personally and professionally.

Family, friends, and community mean the world to me. I believe the most important investment we can make is in our relationships, because they are the true measure of a rich and meaningful life.

Community Impact

I am passionate about giving back and using the gifts God has entrusted to me to serve others. Whether it’s traveling on a mission trip with my church, volunteering my time on a Saturday, or leading financial literacy classes for individuals experiencing homelessness, I’m always seeking ways to make a positive difference. Service isn’t just something I do—it’s part of who I am, and it’s a privilege to walk alongside others in their journey toward hope and stability.
