I was born and raised in Benson, MN, and had parents who taught me about hard work. I was in Boy Scouts and became an Eagle Scout. The Scout Oath and Laws instilled in me the importance of helping others and being invested in the community, along with being trustworthy. After high school, I served as an Emergency Medical Technician for five years with the ambulance for the County Hospital.
I attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where I earned a Mortuary Science degree and started my Funeral Director career at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria that I enjoyed for nineteen years. Working and helping people is a passion of mine. This new role of being a Financial Associate with Thrivent gives me the opportunity to continue my passion for helping people and reaching their financial goals.
Together my wife Stacey and I are blessed with four children, Zach, Jameson, Jada and Brayden. We enjoy biking, hiking, being outside and going to our children’s activities.
I am proud to be part of Thrivent because of the company’s values and how they align with mine. We believe money is a tool, not a goal. We believe life is better when it’s filled with purpose. We are a member-owned fraternal organization who believes in the power of generosity to invest in our communities. I am passionate about creating meaningful relationships and serving my clients to reach their financial goals.
I am excited to connect with you today! You can reach me at 320-335-0085 or via email at alan.iverson@thrivent.com
